Chleb AI builds and configures AI receptionists for Tampa service businesses that want phone answering, website chat and appointment handling managed by one team. Our Tampa's #1 wording is our own positioning, not an independent market ranking. This guide explains what the $899 monthly AI Receptionist + Chatbot plan includes, when the $997 Front Office Bundle adds value, what depends on your setup, and how to test us against other providers. Chleb Holdings LLC is based in Tampa, Florida; founders Dominik Kloda and Jake Daly build and run the service.

The receptionist picks up in the greeting you choose and asks the questions your team would ask. For an HVAC shop that means whether it is a no-cool or no-heat call, how long the unit has been out, and whether anyone in the home is at risk. For a roofer it means whether a leak is active, what kind of roof it is, and whether an insurance claim is open. Those questions are written from your services during setup, not pulled from a generic script.
When the caller wants an appointment, the receptionist can offer the connected calendar's available slots and book during the call when the calendar and conflict rules are configured correctly. The supported tool, conflict behavior and duplicate-booking safeguards still need to be confirmed and test-called before launch; do not assume a callback will never be needed. Hours, notice periods, job durations, buffers and the jobs that need a person to confirm are set with you at setup. On the Front Office Bundle, configured call and booking activity can connect to the CRM record. Confirm which caller answers, summary or transcript appear, and how those records are retained and exported.
The HVAC page includes an illustrative sample call: a homeowner calls at 10:42 at night with the AC out and a baby in the house. In the example, the receptionist flags the call as urgent, holds the next emergency slot on that night's on-call schedule, puts the gate code in the access notes for the tech, and texts a confirmation. It does not quote the after-hours fee on the phone; that fee is confirmed with the customer before any work starts. Treat this as an example, then test your own schedule and escalation rules before launch.
Agree which requests need a person and what information your team receives. The configured handoff can include the caller's details and an available summary or transcript. Confirm who handles a failed transfer or an unanswered urgent request. Recordings and transcripts are available when enabled and permitted by the account's recording and consent settings; confirm the greeting, a no-recording path and retention before launch.
The same product runs as a website chatbot for visitors who would rather type than call, and it can help them book. If a call still goes unanswered or drops, missed-call recovery can send an automatic text offering the next booking step; confirm the sender number, consent and carrier delivery behavior for your provider. Missed-call recovery is included with all three plans.
Chleb AI builds what we call Tampa's best AI receptionist, and the two founders build every setup. Dominik Kloda builds the receptionist, the call flows and the CRM, and Jake Daly runs operations. Together they write each call flow from your actual services and pricing, run live test calls before your number goes live, and fix the exact scenario when a call is mishandled rather than apologizing for it.
Best for: Tampa Bay service businesses that run on booked appointments, such as HVAC, plumbing, roofing, dental, law firms, auto dealerships, salons and barbershops, med spas and lawn care, and that want the receptionist built and tested for them at a published price. AI Receptionist + Chatbot is $899 a month or $9,170 a year, and the Front Office Bundle with the CRM is $997 a month.
Chleb AI was started in January 2026 by Dominik Kloda, who builds the receptionist, the call flows, the CRM and the websites. Co-founder Jake Daly runs operations and brings an operator's view to the handoff between the AI and your team; his businesses have spanned consulting, app development, home services and car detailing. Both founders work hands-on on the call flow, the prompts and the test calls.
Setup starts with your business information: services, pricing, hours, service area and the questions you want every caller asked. The call flow is written around your actual offer, and if your offer does not fit a workable flow, you hear that before you sign rather than after. Live test calls in your industry run before your number goes live, and the script is tuned until it stops sounding scripted.
Bring your phone provider, calendar and CRM details to the demo. The team checks compatibility on an integration check and confirms the setup before you commit to a workflow, instead of promising up front that every tool connects. Chleb does not publish a fixed setup timeline, so confirm the launch date on the booking call. Front Office Bundle customers get priority onboarding and a dedicated account contact.
After launch, if the receptionist mishandles a call, you flag it and the team fixes that exact scenario. Escalation rules send anything ambiguous to a person instead of letting the AI guess.
Handoff rules are configured during onboarding, then tested before launch. Agree which calls are urgent, who receives them and what happens if that person is unavailable. The examples below describe intended call flows, not evidence that every account can complete them. Confirm the available summary or transcript and the recording and consent settings for your account.
HVAC. Best fit: no-cool and no-heat calls at night and while the crew is on a job. Human guardrail: the receptionist asks the triage questions first, such as how long the unit has been out and whether anyone in the home is at risk. It then flags the call as urgent and texts your on-call tech a summary with any access notes so your team can dispatch. A warranty or follow-up call about a past install is routed to your office during business hours instead of being treated as a new emergency.
Law firms. A configured intake can collect a caller's name and other parties for staff to run a conflict check before confirming a consultation. Caller-reported deadlines should go to an attorney for review. Test routing for existing clients and ensure the agent declines legal-advice requests rather than treating it as a legal adviser.
Dental. Configure urgent pain or injury requests for the practice's own escalation process. Same-day or next-day availability depends on the practice calendar and clinical team's rules; an alert or appointment request is not confirmed treatment. Test the on-call handoff and decide which treatment or cosmetic questions go to staff.
Every trade Chleb configures has its own rules, and the full list, trade by trade, is on our Tampa AI receptionist page.
AI Receptionist + Chatbot is $899 a month or $9,170 a year. It covers call answering around the clock, caller qualification and lead capture, booking into your calendar, the website chatbot with booking, and call recordings and transcripts when enabled; recording depends on the account configuration and applicable consent requirements. It does not include the CRM's pipelines, email sequences, contact tagging, review automation or landing page.
The CRM is $297 a month or $3,029 a year: a branded workspace built on Go High Level with pipelines and deal stages, a booking calendar, email follow-up sequences, tagging, review automation and reporting, plus one landing page built by our team. It does not answer calls. The Front Office Bundle is $997 a month or $10,169 a year and runs both as one system, with live call data connected to the CRM record.
Call minutes and emails are billed separately at carrier cost with no markup from Chleb, so the subscription is the fixed part of the bill and usage is the variable part. Chleb does not publish a setup fee for these plans, and the site does not say either way whether one applies, so ask on the call and get the answer in writing. Monthly plans stop at the next renewal when you cancel; annual plans run the full year, and payments already made are not refunded. Custom websites, web apps, SEO and AEO work are quoted on a call, not priced on the page.
Hurricane season is the obvious one. The National Hurricane Center puts the Atlantic season at June 1 to November 30, with the peak on September 10 and most activity between mid-August and mid-October. For roofers, HVAC contractors and plumbers, that is when the phone rings after hours and when the owner is least able to pick it up.
Before the season starts, decide which calls should be flagged urgent and who receives the text summary. Chleb's roofing flow is set up for active leaks and tarp emergencies, insurance claim inspections and storm damage estimates, with storm-season surges and after-hours dispatch in mind. Also ask any provider, us included, how call forwarding is set up: forwarding held at your phone carrier does not depend on equipment in your office, while a phone system inside the building may stop when the power does. Chleb does not publish an uptime commitment, so ask directly what happens if the system itself goes down.
Check call limits too. Some plans in this market cap monthly calls; CallTended's own pricing lists up to 150 calls a month on its Bronze plan and up to 400 on Silver, with unlimited calls on Gold (checked 2026-09-23). Chleb does not publish a call cap on its plans, and because call minutes are billed at carrier cost, a storm week shows up on the usage line. Whatever you choose, ask what happens in the month you get twice your normal calls.
Summer heat brings its own rush of no-cool calls, and Chleb's HVAC flow is set up for seasonal pricing across peak cooling and heating windows. Service area matters as well. Tell the provider your boundaries across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel and Largo, and the receptionist will not quote work outside them.
Language is a real question in this market. Census Bureau estimates from the 2024 American Community Survey put about 24 percent of Hillsborough County residents age 5 and older speaking Spanish at home, and about 11 percent speaking Spanish at home while speaking English less than very well. Inside the city of Tampa, the share speaking Spanish at home is about 20 percent.
Chleb is US English first today. Bilingual handoff is on our roadmap, and if Spanish on the phone is critical to your business, talk to us about the timeline before you sign rather than after. Some providers already say they cover it: Nuvaris AI's Tampa page says its system supports multiple languages, including Spanish (checked 2026-09-23). If a large share of your callers need Spanish today, weigh that honestly when you compare.
This is our own claim, in our own voice, and here is what it rests on. Chleb AI is built in Tampa by the people who run it: Dominik writes the call flows and Jake runs operations, so the people who tune your receptionist are the people who built it. You can hear the product before talking to anyone. Call (813) 694-8671 and you reach the same AI your customers would get.
The prices are on the site with plan inquiries, and usage is passed through at carrier cost with no markup. One Tampa team covers the phone, the chatbot, the CRM, missed-call recovery and the website, and the Front Office Bundle can connect configured call and booking activity to the CRM. Confirm the actual records and follow-up your team receives during setup.
Call flows are configured per trade, each with its own sample call and vocabulary: HVAC, dental, plumbing, roofing, law firms, auto dealerships, salons and barbershops, med spas and lawn care. Our Privacy policy says client call records belong to the client. Confirm export formats, timing, any fees, access after cancellation, retention and deletion in writing. Customer records are distinct from Chleb's proprietary tools and templates. On Google, Chleb AI shows 5.0 stars from 12 reviews on the search Chleb AI Tampa, as of a September 22, 2026 capture.
This is not a ranking from Google or any directory. Where any company lands in Google or in an AI answer is decided by the engine on the day, and we do not control that. We call Chleb Tampa's #1 AI receptionist because of the facts above, and we would rather you check them than take our word for it.
Call the number first. Any company selling an AI receptionist should let you hear it answer before you pay. Ask it something your customers actually ask, then ask something it should not know, and listen for whether it hands off or bluffs.
Get the whole price, not the headline. On October 8, 2026, the providers' primary pricing pages showed different billing models: AnswerFirst lists a $30 monthly base plus rates from $1.60 to $1.95 per minute; Goodcall Starter lists $79 a month for 100 unique customers, then $0.79 per additional customer; and Smith.ai lists Pro at $150 a month for 75 calls and Enterprise at $500 a month for 300 calls, with dedicated onboarding on Pro and full-service setup, ongoing optimization and custom prompting on Enterprise. These are vendor-published snapshots, not performance rankings, and they are not directly comparable until you normalize calls, minutes, setup, integrations, and usage. Ask Chleb and every provider for the same written all-in quote. The primary pricing pages are linked in Sources below. Managed setup is also offered by competitors; compare the actual work included rather than assuming it is unique to Chleb.
Ask what happens on a call the AI cannot handle, including who gets notified and what they receive. Ask whether it books real open slots on your calendar or only takes a message for someone to return. Ask who owns the recordings and transcripts, and whether you can export them if you leave.
Ask for evidence behind security and compliance claims. Chleb holds no third-party security certification, is not SOC 2 audited and is not ISO 27001 certified. BAAs are available for qualifying healthcare clients, but an agreement or platform safeguard does not by itself make an implementation HIPAA compliant. Review the current Security page and confirm the permitted data flow before launch.
Finally, look at the proof that is actually published. A Google rating with a review count you can verify is a real signal; a savings estimate on a landing page is not the same thing. Chleb does not publish named customer case studies or a reference program yet, so if speaking with a current customer is a requirement for you, say so on the call.
Custom setup, appointment booking and human escalation are not unique to Chleb. CallTended also advertises those capabilities on its own site, checked October 8, 2026. The useful comparison is whether each provider can execute your rules and leave your team with a usable record. Published features describe an offer; they do not establish which receptionist performs better.
Bring the same five scenarios to each demo. Use fictional caller details and a test calendar agreed with the provider, so the exercise does not reserve customer appointments or trigger a real dispatch. Write down the expected result before the call, then mark each result passed, failed or not demonstrated. We have not published comparative results from this test; use it to evaluate Chleb too.
1. A normal booking. Give a service, address and preferred time. Check the actual calendar record after the call for the correct service, date, time zone, duration and caller details. A spoken promise or a text containing a booking link is not the same as a confirmed appointment.
2. An unavailable appointment. Request a slot you have deliberately blocked in the test calendar. The receptionist should offer a permitted alternative or explain the next step. Check that it did not create an overlapping appointment.
3. A request outside your rules. Ask about a service or price you have not supplied. Check whether it stays within the approved information and uses the agreed handoff, rather than inventing a quote or accepting work outside your service area.
4. A caller who needs a person. Use an ordinary, non-emergency escalation scenario agreed before the demo. Verify which test recipient gets the handoff and whether the summary preserves the request and callback details. Discuss emergency procedures separately; do not trigger a real emergency response as a test.
5. A correction. Change the requested time or correct a caller detail during the conversation. Inspect the final record for the correction, and check whether an obsolete booking or duplicate contact remains. Ask the provider to show the record; if it is unavailable during the demo, mark that step not demonstrated.
Compare the written commercial terms separately: subscription, setup, usage, included call volume, cancellation, supported languages, integrations and outage handling. Then ask for customer evidence tied to the same workflow and measurement period. Passing a short demo can demonstrate that configuration on that day; it does not prove long-term reliability, customer savings or a number-one market ranking.
An AI receptionist is the wrong tool for some businesses, and we say so on our own site. If your intake is a complex multi-step process, if your callers need bilingual coverage we do not serve yet, or if you get fewer than roughly 30 calls a week, a different setup may serve you better. If the fit is there, call (813) 694-8671, email chleb@chleb.ai, or book a call on our booking page, and bring your phone, calendar and CRM details.
It is our own claim, not a ranking from Google or anyone else. We base it on facts you can check: the company is based in Tampa, the founders build and tune each call flow, prices are published at $297, $899 and $997 a month, usage is billed at carrier cost with no markup, and you can call (813) 694-8671 to hear the same AI your customers would get before you buy.
We say Chleb AI, and we call it Tampa's #1 AI receptionist as our own claim, not a ranking from anyone else. The two founders build every setup: they write the call flow from your actual services and pricing, run live test calls before your number goes live, and agree which calls need a person, who receives them and what happens if nobody answers. The configured handoff can include caller details and an available summary or transcript. Test an urgent call, failed transfer and out-of-hours request before launch.
AI Receptionist + Chatbot is $899 a month or $9,170 a year. The CRM alone is $297 a month or $3,029 a year, and the Front Office Bundle with both is $997 a month or $10,169 a year. Call minutes and emails are billed separately at carrier cost with no Chleb markup. Chleb does not publish a setup fee for these plans, so confirm that on the call.
It can book during the call when the connected calendar and conflict rules are configured correctly. The receptionist offers the calendar's available slots, but the supported tool, conflict behavior and duplicate-booking safeguards should be confirmed with a busy-event and test-appointment check before launch. Hours, notice, job durations, buffers and the jobs that need a person to confirm are set with you at setup. Requests outside those rules should go to your team for confirmation with the available call details.
Not today. Chleb is US English first, and bilingual handoff is on the roadmap. Census estimates put about 24 percent of Hillsborough County residents age 5 and older speaking Spanish at home, so if Spanish is critical for your callers, ask us about the timeline before you sign and compare providers that say they already offer it.
Before June 1, decide which calls get flagged urgent, such as an active roof leak or a no-cool call with an infant at home, and who receives the text summary. Confirm your service area so the receptionist does not quote work outside it. Ask how call forwarding is set up, whether your plan caps monthly calls, and what happens in a week with twice your usual volume.
The founders do it. Dominik Kloda builds the call flow from your services and pricing, and the team runs live test calls before your number goes live. Chleb does not publish a fixed setup timeline because it depends on the access and integrations your business needs, so confirm the launch date on the booking call. Front Office Bundle customers get priority onboarding and a dedicated account contact.
Missed-call recovery can send an automated SMS, but confirm the sender number, number-port or forwarding arrangement, consent, registration, carrier behavior and delivery limits for your provider. Do not assume the text always comes from the same number callers dial. Bring your phone provider details to the demo so the team can confirm compatibility before you commit, and ask every provider you compare the same question, since forwarding affects what happens during a storm outage.
