It gives the answer your call flow tells it to give, and nothing else. Chleb builds the call flow from your own services and pricing, so that answer can be a price you publish, a plain statement that the job is priced after a visit, or an offer to have a person call back. In the sample call below, the owner prices jobs after a visit, and the receptionist holds that rule both times the caller asks, with no number.
Businesses answer price questions differently, so the answer belongs in the call flow, written from your own services and pricing. The demo above lets you switch between the three answers the simulation supports and replay the call:
Callers often ask twice. In the sample call, the caller asks for a rough figure after hearing that the job is priced on site, and the receptionist does not just repeat itself: it says again that it will not guess a number, then offers a choice, book a time now or have the office manager call back about pricing. Either way, no number gets said that the owner never approved.
The caller then asks for someone to call back. The receptionist takes the request with his name and number and logs it for the team to work. He leaves the call with a next step, and the business has not been committed to a price it never approved.
Price questions are one of the calls to rehearse. Chleb's founders build the call flow from your services and pricing and run live test calls before your number goes live. Ask for a test in which the caller asks the price twice and then asks for a discount, and listen for any figure you did not provide.
If you publish prices, give the receptionist the exact sentence you want said. If you do not, decide who takes price callbacks and how soon they call back, because that is the promise the receptionist will make on your behalf.
It shows how each pricing rule sounds on a call and what follows it: an offer to book, a callback or a message. In this simulation the receptionist cannot produce a price you did not type, because every reply is fixed text. Quillmoor Plumbing and the caller are fictional, and this sample business names the office manager as who calls back on pricing.
It does not show the production receptionist, which uses a language model following the pricing instructions in your call flow, so test those instructions on a real test call. It says nothing about what any real plumber charges. The voices in the video come from Kokoro text-to-speech, not the production voice. Chleb's own plan prices are on the pricing page.

Receptionist: Thanks for calling Quillmoor Plumbing, this is the virtual receptionist. How can I help you today?
Caller: Hi, how much do you charge to unclog a kitchen drain?
Receptionist: I can't give you an exact price over the phone, because it depends on the details. You'll get a clear price before you commit to anything. Would you like to book a time?
Caller: Roughly what does it cost, though?
Receptionist: I understand you want a number before committing. I don't have one I can give you over the phone, and I won't guess. I can book a time now, or have the office manager call you back about pricing. Which would you like?
Caller: Okay. Can you have someone call me back?
Receptionist: Of course. What message should I pass along?
Caller: This is Derek Hall, 813 555 0147. I'd like a price on drain cleaning.
Receptionist: Thanks. I've passed your message to the team with your number, and someone will call you back today. Is there anything else?
Caller: No, that's all. Thanks.
Receptionist: Thanks for calling Quillmoor Plumbing. Have a good day!
If you give it prices to say, yes. In the demo, choose the Your own words setting and type the sentence, and the receptionist reads it exactly. With the live receptionist, your prices are written into the call flow during setup.
Not in this simulation. It holds the owner's rule every time the caller asks, though it does not say it the same way twice: pushed a second time, it offers to book a time or have the office manager call back about pricing instead. Ask to hear the same test on the live receptionist before your number goes live.
Yes. Choose the A person answers setting in the demo: the receptionist names that person as who handles pricing and offers a callback or a booking, and logs the callback request with the caller's number for the team to work.
